The William R Smith Foundation is dedicated to sponsoring future innovators in their pursuit of higher education. With financial assistance, students are enabled to bypass the barrier of tuition and commit to premier educational institutions. Members at the William R Smith Foundation are confident that, with postsecondary education, these extraordinary students will become the next generation of problem-solvers and expert innovators. Whether it be Alan Turing’s computer that cracked the Enigma code or John Aaron’s insightful command which prevented catastrophe during the Apollo 12 mission, history has shown us the importance of these experts. Today’s students have large shoes to fill with even more at stake for our society. Climate change, renewable energy, artificial intelligence— the next generation will be tasked with solving these problems. The William R Smith Foundation seeks to assist these students with their educational expenses so they may focus exclusively on their studies and build their intellectual arsenal to face the challenges of tomorrow.
